I found a suspicious thing.
Composite usb device has 3 sub-device data logger, accessory and test command
Pk2 command targeted to Testcommand i/f (tci)
my e398 (and all p2k phones tci index is 8 )

I found ( a russian) photo from L7e:

It shows that tci index is 2 ! This may the vital difference. We experienced our tci command immediately fails. i think due to bad targeting.

So please send your usb device list. You can do that easily with usbview app:
http://www.el-co.hu/p2k05/USBview.zip

pls check config descriptors

and get device list (ofcourse when phone is in p2k mode)

thanks....

Hey bomber. You have to connect as PST in Radiocomm to get the Motorola Test Interface to display:

It's interessting to see for possible devices available for moto:
There are:
-Accessories Interface
-Audio Control Interface
-Audio Streaming IN Interface
-Audio Streaming OUT Interface
-Communication Class - Control Interface
-Communication Class - Data Interface
-Data Logging DSP Interface
-Data Logging MCU Interface
-DSP Debugging Interface
-Flash Baseband Interface
-Flash File System Interface
-Flash Operating System Interface
-Motorola AP Data Logger
-Motorola AP Flash
-Motorola BP Flash
-Motorola EZX PTF
-Motorola Flash Interface
-Motorola iDEN Interface
-Motorola Unused Interface
-Test Command Interface

Some of this device driver respond to the built-in devices like EZX, MCU or DSP.
The existence of AP Flash AND BP Flash let suggest that their is one backup or fall back mode or something like that.

Have anyone skill to disassemble the boot-loader for guessing the cpu-family? It's nice to uplad Java-MIDlets, but if you can programm in native there would be possibilities...

ok, i also forget to tell that you must click the refresh menupoint after setting config deskcriptors.

anyway it seems InterfaceIndex is various on phones
the old ones the value is 8
v3xx is 1
rizr is 2

in V4.0.2 i can read it programatically, and fill usb low level setup packet with that value
technically the setup packet is:
410200000800
41 is usb request type
01 is request
00 00 is value
00 08 is device index

i think this last value (0008) is changed with new phones.
