Version number is quite funny 2.6.2.0 the older which i used was 2.8 and 2.9

http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/Handset_USB_Driver/

in device manager it shows 2.7.0.0

COM port autodetecting will not work, you can use manual setting, after locating in device manager modem properties.
i will fix  it . this new driver place COM port info onto other location in registry.    :-(

I know i am very newby at this, but...

I installed pk2 commander on my pc.  Used the motorola driver, but it didnt work as it should. Tried also with 2.9 drivers and some others.  the only way i got it working was to download the UID Extraction Tool v2.0  (http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/othertools/UID22/)  runing it and then it would then detect all the drivers as it should.  I KNOW i DID something wrong, even though i followed all steps carefuly.  Any case. in order to pk2 comander to work I have to: 1 start the UID utility, let it detect my phone, close it, and then run p2k commander.

it does not work anyother way.

sorry to post it here if it is not the appropiate place, thought i should let you know.

psd I have a v3x phone. (windows xp sp2, latest motorola phone tools. )

@31lore31

Your phone is in MEMCARD mode. (its icon as a hdd icon)
To use p2kmode the phone must be in modem mode.
In your phone menu (connections) pls set the data/fax mode

I will release V4.1.1 within a few days . this will recognize memcard mode ans will switch to p2kmode directly from memcard mode.

regards.....

newbie needs help...  Huh?

i have a motorola razr v3xx. i have installed the drivers i dowloanded from http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/Handset_USB_Driver/.  I tried using P2kCommander-V4.9.3, P2kCommander-V4.9.6 and P2kCommander-V4.9.8. Whenever i run any of the P2kCommander versions i mentioned on my XP SP2 desktop, i get an error saying that P2KCOmmander encountered an error and needs to be closed (same thing with P2KAutostart).  I have my device's USB Setting set at Data Connection.

Any help would be very much appreciated.  I just want to start modding my new toy...  Cry
