ok, guys...
i have received some report.
the good is: moto usb device found as usual moto p2k device. (Test Command Interface)
the bad is: p2kcommands fails. all command. FSAC and phone status change (eg:restart,or flash mode)
So p2k protocol maybe not present or dramatically changed.
I see no chance

But......
This topic tells RSD 3.1and above CAN flex the phone
http://www.howardforums.com/showpost.php?p=8396577&postcount=1089

So my good old dir2flex must work. And we can create folder(s) and copy files.    maybe....(i havent this phone to try)

I have a cingular branded V3xx and I have not been able to get it recognized under windows xp.  I am using the latest p2k drivers from motorola's developer website.  The phone comes up as a Motorola Razr (V3xx), but does not match any device information in the p2k drivers.  When setup as a USB modem, the modem installs correctly.  Any ideas?

Ok, I have a dumb question.  I'm extremely new to this, so treat me like you're talking to a 1st grader.  I have a V3xx.  When I connect it to the computer, everything is fine.  When I start P2kCommander, it detects the "MCU Data Logger" and wants to know where to look for the driver.  My phone didn't come w/a disk so I don't know where to look.  P2kCommander also detects "Motorola Test Command", and wants that driver.  WHere do I find them??

Hello!
First of all - thank you so much for your hard work on this. I've had a blast playing with it!

We have 2 phones - a FireRed V3r (but it shows as V3i on everything else I see, so not sure which it is Huh?) and the V3xx. Anyway, we were able to get them both recognized and working with p2k 4.9.6; we can see files, copy files, delete files, etc but can't figure out how to get the games to show. I noticed that instead of as .jar and .jad file, there are .dmj, .jad, .attr, .rms, .pat and .png files. I know that the .rms is a Real Media file, the .png is the game ico, the .jad is (of course) the .jad file and I think the .dmj is the .jar file. All that I have when I download a file is the .jar and/or the .jad files. I'm assuming that the other files are contained in the .jar file, but I don't have an "install" option anywhere on my phone.

How do I get the other files? How do I get them to show in the list on my phone? What about the j2mest (is this some type of access list and/or menu option list Huh? )..

I was able to use MotoMidMan to install them on my V3r phone, but it won't recognize the V3xx phone, so we can't use it. However, when I used MidMan, it installs the extra files to the V3r and updates the j2mest file.....

Any help is VERY much appreciated it, but please type slowly as I am new to some of this...  Roll Eyes

Thanks!!

Afaik the only one app is p2kc which can work with p2k05 phones (V3xx)
Kjava is not implemented yet (as MidletsManager)

i know 2 methods to install java app
1: via bletooth, push jar file as obex object to phone, and will install automagically
2: with "midway" via COM port. (this needs a seemedit "java installer enabled")

good luck

ps: i consider to make kjava interface into p2kc

I'm not sure this is the right forum.  I just got this phone and have never tried to move files off/on a phone.  I was trying to get my razor (V3m) to be seen by my computer.  It is seen as a USB modem and a generic USB Composite Device.  But when I run the p2kCommander, it says that it can't find my phone.  Should I be doing something else?
