Try 5.0.8 and 6.0  The Z6 phone will connect.  Trying to copy ringtones to usr/data_resource/sound/ringtones/ and set attributes.
P2KC show the files are copy on the computer screen, but cant save them to the phone or set attributes.

What am I going wrong???

This folder: usr/data_resource/sound/ringtones/
is on readonly partition on the phone

you can copy ringtones to /ezxlocal/download/mystuff or whatever on Z6
