Yes p2k drivers provided by motorola in not exe but msi. msi is miscrosoft installer file, and ofcource executable
just doubleclick it
You nedd one of 32 or 64 bit , depending on your OS
Simple XP is 32 bit, vista can be 32 or 64 bit.
if you ran drivers msi, just forget it. There is no to do with drivers at all, execept the first run (install into the system's core)

Next when you plug phone ,there is a usb modem device must be in device manager
Ofcourse your phone must be in modem mode (/settings/Conenctions/ in phone menu)

Next , run P2kCommander
I think V3a is a simple p2k model
If you use 5.0.8 , i think app will autodetect your phone mode
If not, open options dialog and set mode to p2k, and uncheck filefilter, and use p2k05 checkboxes

Good luck

Yes "data/fax" is modem mode.
Thats good if motorola usb modem present
Now start P2kCommander, and check options dialog
