P2kCommander and USBLAN mode

known issues:

- phones without smb or ftp services will not work
- if you switch p2k/usblan mode you must re-start p2kc
- Network drive will be Z:   selection in options dlg not working yet
- you must enter your phone's IP address and select "use this IP" auto IP recognizig not working yet
- if drive Z: not appear, pls re-start p2kc, and try again
- after exiting some processes maybe alive. In taskmanager you must kill "net.exe" or "ftpdrive.exe"
- USBLAN switch command may be vary depending your phone (a1200=99, Z6=8, a780=13) or switch your phone to USBLAN mode via phone menu
- with ftp server connection pls use left panel. There is a parent folder item. (local hdd has 2 parent folder now)

I tried it on my V8, but P2KC would not show anything at all.
I tried all settings, but nothing.
I can switch my V8 into USB Lan mode and also, if needed into FTP mode, but nothing worked.
I have access to the V8 with any FTP software.
I'll keep trying.

ok after a while, i managed to get the Z: directory to show,
but i could not access anything on my V8,
in the my Computer window the Z: is Disconnected Network Drive,

to get the Z: drive to show i did the following....


start P2K Commander,
then open,
the FTP drive folder,
then double click FtpDrive.exe
it only appears in the system tray near the clock,

hit that icon once then the FTPDrive setting window appears,

then, make sure you do this,

tick, prefer passive mode for FTP data connection, box

tick, allow only, box,

tick try to retrieve from local NetView box,

then,

Host: 192.168.16.2
Port: 21
Login: Anonymous


click ok,
then restart P2K Commander
and connect phone making sure usblan is on,

for the Z: directory to be seen FTPdrive must be running

These steps are taken by Pk2commander automatically.

if P2kcommander detects usblan/ftp in options do these steps:
1. in ftpdrive folder open ftpdrive.reg and add to the registry. this configures ftpdrive
2. see if phone is in modem or usblan mode, if modem , do switch mode
3. search for motorola network device
-----at this point maybe some problem----- pls post IPREPORT file
4. got interface name and its IP adress
5. copy IP adress to ftpdrive folder serverlist file
6. start ftpfolder


anyway if ftp is enabled on your phone Z: must show phone files

After a bit of fiddling I finally got this with my V8.

This the fixed version, must create IPREPORT and run ftpdrive automatically without any handmade thing.
