I am using Ubuntu 710
P2kc v0.5

SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device", MODE="0666"  has been changed

This message (!error: bulk write failed)  I get with p2kc and p2k-core

Looking for update.
P2k-core V_1.3 activated.
 Search for Motorola Test Command.
 Search for Motorola Data Interface.
 Found Interface: Motorola Communication Interface
Interface 00 is claimed by kernel driver: cdc_acm
Interface 00 is detached from kernel driver: cdc_acm
 Inteface number: 00, Endpoints: 81 00
Switching to P2kmode (cca. 2-3 sec)
!error: bulk write failed

I get this when I go to setting then options   Are these two problems connected ?

I have tested it with Ubuntu6.0.6
First problem related with permissions, if editing udev rules didnt help, you must run it as root:
"gksudo p2kc"

Second is improper installing
In fact p2kc can be run from the folder where you compiled it: "./p2kc"
or "sudo make install"
this will copy files into /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/share
and you can run "p2kc" or "gksudo p2kc"
That error messages inform you some glade files not found.

Regards....
