I am a total noob to the k1m.But not tomodding. I seem edited my two V3m's so I could do ringtones and pictures. I finally got the MPT to see my phone and now trying to get p2k commander to see it but no go. I wonder is there any guide or can someone tell me how do you install the drivers I am way lost.

AFAIK k1m is CDMA phone
maybe some (3.2.6) older versions work better s5vi.vxxxstuff.com/commander

anyway you need p2k driver (google or www.motodev.xom)
MPT is NOT p2k app , it uses OBEX mode, so MPT work without p1k driver

P2kc need p2k driver installed

Your using P2k Commander Your goin to need the drivers aswell..( everytime you change programs you have to reinstall the drivers to recognize the different program).... With P2K commander PST Phone Programer  7.25 works great for me but keep in mind the drivers always have to be refreshed..And the PsT has to run in the background for P2k Commander to work.....Let me know if any of this helped or if you need to know anying else......
