Any help with gtk+ development appreciated.

news: command "p2k-core -m" will go modem mode with autodetection
on linux and OSX also. this was problem on osx. now you dont need to unload kext module.
experimental: switch to USBLAN mode on linux phones

p2kc: in early state , can connect with pressing "Re-read button", no filelist or other functions yet.
