You can try P2kc_unstripped exe
If you use Vista you need the latest driver from motodev

I am a member of motodev., and I'm using drivers 2.7.6 since my os is vista 32 bit. The unstripped version unfortunately does the same thing as in post #1. What would allow p2k comm.v330 to boot and not allow v4.9.3.c?

Still no luck with this situation, and there are a couple of others at motox with a similar problem. http://motox.info/showthread.php?t=46452

I cannot reproduce that issue.
I tested with 3 diff pc, Xpprosp2, Xphomesp2, w2ksp4
only 4.9.C or previous versions are bad on your pc?
maybe i must install vista onto my spare hdd.....

I went to my friend and tested with his Vista.
P2kc-V4.9.c didnt run, issue confirmed.
Then i set up my compiling environment (masm32 and radasm), and try to compile it.
Code is untouched and newly compiled app run fine!   Strange...
This is the Vista compiled exe:

Hi s5vi...

I've tried this and it's still not working for me.  I've got the latest drivers (2.7.6.0) from MotoDev.    I've tried deleting and redownloading/unzipping.   4.9.A works, but only if i select Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode.

The windows event log:

Faulting application P2kCommander_Vista.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x46680755, faulting module asycfilt.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp 0x4549bcb2, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0000f553, process id 0xcb58, application start time 0x01c7ad4b7cd52b7a.

For the non-vista one, it's different:
Faulting application P2kCommander.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4645e154, faulting module zipfldr.dll_unloaded, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4549be03, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x6e0eec9d, process id 0x4900, application start time 0x01c7ad49b68f22dc.
