To delete folder from p2k filesystem i use this:
Simply move cursor on the folder and delete it.
Folder and its contents will be gone (at least on my e398)
If not, there are a little trick:
-Set both panels (left and right) to p2k filesystem
-on the left the folder list, place cursor onto the folder
-in the right open desired folder, select all files , and delete them
-goto left, and delet folder which is empty now

invisible folders: p2k filesystem will not show empty folders  Sad
To make it visible simply re-create it (if you remember its name)
When P2kc create a new folder , a little file put there (to make non-empty the folder)
When you re-create invisible folder, actually the folder creation can fail, but a little file will put there.
If you have V421 you can copy a file directly an invisible folder if you alter the destination path before copying

Good luck

Hi there,

i am using 4.9.c with E1000 and 1gb tfcard. The only folder listed is b:\mobile\pictures but there are more non-empty folders, which can be listed with bluetooth, like:
audio, kjava, Daten, video

If i make a new folder with same name, it occours with the dummy-file. I then successfully copy some files into the folder. After Re-Read all is disappeared, but the space on the Card is gone!

I Use the 2.7.0.0 Moto-Drivers which came with RSD Lite 2.7. I have to start RSD to use P2k, to switch the phone from USB-Modem to P2k-Mode

In P2k-Options only G3-P2k is chosen. Nothing else is checked. (But "New Version")
Anything i can do?

Greetz Flip...

P.S. nice work!!

[-= EDIT =-]
I found a solution to all this..: Format the tfcard :}
Now its possible to copy all my data. Would take some time to fill it up again Oo but thats life...

Again, P2k-Commander is a nice peace of program! Guess it will be outstanding once..
Thnx... Flip

If you have a CDMA phone, use BitPim to delete empty folders. This is the only proper way to fully delete a skin from your CDMA phone.

Moto CDMA's are tricky, because they do contain two filesystems in one: a P2K FS and a BREW EFS (Embedded FS). Due to this issue, some files can't be accessed by P2KCommander, but you can view all of them in BitPim.

If you delete a file from BitPim, and if it "existed" on P2K FS, you will have "ghost" files on your phone (proof of concept: delete a preloaded pic on BitPim and open the image gallery on your phone: the pic will be still there, but as a "corrupted" file). Simply delete the file on P2KCommander and it will be gone for good.

Also, usual BREW file locks apply: you CAN'T read/delete/overwrite files belonging to Get-It-Now (or whatever it's called on your carrier) downloaded apps (they only exist on the EFS, and BitPim can't ignore file locks).

Blame Qualcomm for that mess, their MSMs are pure evil Embarrassed.
